Ian Seiferling, PhD, Co-founder & CEO of AdaViv

Ian is Co-founder and CEO of AdaViv where he is guiding AdaViv's mission to help every farm become profitable and sustainable through Lean Cultivation and Plant-level Intelligence. Ian’s background bridges plant science, agriculture, image processing and data science. Dr. Seiferling has published numerous high-impact articles in the top academic journals in his fields and his research has been featured in the The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Forbes and The Guardian, among other media. Ian holds an MSc. in Biology and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Quebec and, before founding Adaviv, was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He originates from the prairie grain belt province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
